Job Overview

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Warehouse Team Lead to support the Quality Business Unit at our Mt. Juliet, TN operation. As a Warehouse Team Lead, you willensure that the team consistently meets their defined goals.   The Team Lead will plan, organize, direct, and report the activity of associates to ensure that all assignments are completed on time and in compliance with current written procedures. The Team Lead will also be responsible for addressing quality issues with products and handling incoming requests from our customer and producing plants regarding quality issues. These requests will include but are not limited to inspecting product, labeling/relabeling, placing product on hold, releasing from hold, picking and staging product for returns, coordinating return shipping transportation, and ensuring systematic transactions are correct to maintain inventory accuracy. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

Schedule and Compensation

  • 1st Shift: Monday through Friday – 6:00am to 2:30pm; starting pay rate $22.00 per hour.

Job Details

What to expect as a Warehouse Team Lead:

  • Expect most of the workday to be on the warehouse floor.
  • Assist in conducting daily stand-up meetings
  • Assist Quality Manager in planning daily quality activities
  • Oversee daily activities of personnel in the QA Business Unit
  • Conduct order audits
  • Coordinate QA inspection requests, segregating nonconforming products
  • Ensure audit stations are staffed appropriately for daily workflow
  • Fill in when other team members are absent
  • Sending/responding to email requests
  • Coordinate shipments of returns as requested by plants
  • Entering SupplierNet cases for nonconforming product
  • Address quality issues and conduct root cause analysis
  • Training of employees in the Business Unit
  • Confirm and ensure that every individual is working safely, attend Safety Meetings, and abide by all Safety rules
  • Ensure area housekeeping requirements are met
  • Conduct daily information exchange with following shift Lead or Team
  • Other assignments and special projects assigned by the Business Unit manager

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED- required
  • General math skills required
  • Satisfactory understanding of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures
  • Must be able to work safely and within company safety guidelines
  • Strong Microsoft Office, Excel, and keyboarding required
  • Strong organizational and communication skills required
  • WMS and SAP experience preferred
  • Ability to properly use material handling equipment including Powered Industrial Trucks
  • Must be able to operate an electronic scanner
  • Satisfactory understanding of all safety requirements, standard operating procedures, and quality guidelines
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
