Job Overview

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Warehouse Maintenance Lead to support our distribution center located in Ontario, CA. As a Warehouse Maintenance Lead, you will work closely with building leadership to ensure preventative maintenance plans are set, maintained, documented, and continuously improved. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

Schedule and Compensation

  • Monday through Friday - 7:00am to 3:30pm
  • Starting pay rate $25.00 per hour.
  • Eligible for a monthly bonus of up to $1.05 per hour

Job Details

What to expect as a Warehouse Maintenance Lead:

  • Work closely with the Operations Managers and GM to develop processes and procedures to support operational requirements
  • Ensure Preventative Maintenance plans are set, maintained, documented and continuously improved • Establish maintenance initiatives for improvement in safety, quality, cost, waste reduction, and associate relations
  • Work with the GM to ensure compliance with organizational expenditure requirements
  • Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements
  • Recommend and implement cost saving measures and enhancements in operations
  • Manage vendors and price negotiations in cooperation with the GM
  • Think ahead and plan maintenance, improvements, etc. over a 6-12 month time span
  • Operates materials handling equipment safely and efficiently as required.
  • Perform and document daily pre-shift inspections on Material Handling Equipment prior to beginning shift
  • Assists in maintaining the security and safety of the warehouse
  • Abides by all OSHA rules and Legacy Supply Chain Services safety practices
  • Manage a safe workplace by advocating safety training, awareness and accident preparedness
  • Ensure Health and Safety requirements are met
  • Support and demonstrate Legacy Supply chain Services principles, values and vision
  • Support implementation and execution of policies and practices.
  • Prioritize Workload
  • Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Other duties as assigned by senior leadership
  • Accomplish all tasks and goals as appropriately assigned or requested
  • Maintain a Level of Service
  • Cross training as required

Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent certification
  • Experience within a Warehouse/Distribution Environment
  • Knowledge of safety practices necessary to perform preoperational inspections of lift trucks
  • Knowledge of the purpose and function of all components, devices and accessories commonly employed on lift trucks and how to carry out an inspection to determine if they are functioning properly
  • Educated in Health and Safety in a Warehouse Environment
  • Self Motivated
  • Ability to communicate with Team Leaders and Supervisors
  • Ability to work in other departments when required
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, and perform repetitive work
  • Must be able to bend, twist, and squat frequently
  • Must have the ability to carry 25 - 100 pounds frequently
  • Must have the ability to regularly lift up to 25 – 50 pounds shoulder high
  • Must demonstrate effective follow-up
  • Must demonstrate effective time management
  • Must have proven positive people skills
  • Must maintain a professional demeanor
