Job Overview

Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Warehouse Truck Gate Attendant to support our distribution center located in Oswego, IL. As a Warehouse Truck Gate Attendant, you will be responsible logging in and verifying in-bound trailers as they arrive at the gate and logging out and inspecting empty out-bound trailers prior to them leaving the premises. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

Schedule and Compensation

  • Saturday, Sunday, and Monday with rotating Fridays - 5:00am to 5:00pm
  • Starting pay - $19.21 per hour

Job Details

What to expect as a Warehouse Truck Gate Attendant:

  • Log all inbound / outbound trailers and containers upon entry/exit of the trailer yard.
  • Enter all trailers and containers into the yard management system (YMS) and verify inbound trailers against the appointment scheduler.
  • Communicate with the shift supervisor and yard drivers regularly. Assist in directing trailers to a dock door location or yard location.
  • Record trailer and container numbers and verifies seal number of all inbound and outbound traffic.
  • Inspect all trailers and containers for signs of damage or tampering and documents any anomalies.
  • Perform daily yard check on all trailers.
  • Log out empty trailers through YMS.
  • View empty out-bound trailers prior to leaving premises.
  • Record drop trailers and no show appointments.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
  • Maintain truck gate operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months experience in Asset Protection or security preferred.
  • Previous truck gate experience and/or experience with a yard management system a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Self-motivated; must be able to work with little or no supervision with good communication and organizational skills.
  • Possess intermediate computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Well-rounded knowledge of security policies and procedures. Maintain constant awareness of surroundings.
  • Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift and lift up to 50 pounds on your own.
