Legacy Supply Chain is hiring a Shipping Clerk to support our dedicated warehouse located in Collierville, TN. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for verifying and maintaining the records of incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for shipment, and arranging for the transportation of products. This position offers a comprehensive benefits package including a 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

• 2^nd Shift: Monday through Friday – 2:00pm to 10:30pm
  • Starting pay rate $19.00 per hour, plus a $0.25 shift differential

What to expect as a Shipping Clerk:

• Finalize order receipts by accurately matching shipping documents with the corresponding pallets.
• Verify shipment contents against records like manifests, invoices, or orders.
• Request and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory levels.
• Create documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials through FedEx/UPS parcel systems.
• Prepare materials for shipping by packing, sealing, labeling, or affixing postage using hand tools, power tools, or postage meters.
• Document shipment details, including weight, charges, space, availability, damages, or discrepancies for purposes such as reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping.
• Address issues like damages, shortages, or deviations from specifications.
• Perform other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Experience working with JD Edwards WMS is a plus.
• Demonstrates exceptional abilities in communication, organization, time management, and decision-making.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a strong emphasis on addressing client needs and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Proficiency in using office equipment such as computers, printers, copiers, Microsoft Office, barcode labeling software, and WMS software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to participate in team leadership as needed
• Possess strong analytical skills, good judgment, and critical thinking abilities
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask while being highly attentive to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
