Legacy Supply Chain is hiring an International Import / Export Coordinator to support our growing International Freight Forwarding Division. As an International Import / Export Coordinator, you will be part of a dynamic team working directly with our clients and carriers to manage and execute the daily shipments of freight. You will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of shipment information, tracking and tracing of loads, and problem resolution. Our Team operates in a fast-paced environment using their strong communication skills to develop and grow relationships with our customers and carriers. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match. 

• Monday through Friday 8am to 5:00pm
• Starting Salary between $50,000-$60,000 per year

What to expect as a Import / Export Coordinator:

• Working within a strong team you will facilitate freight shipments by Air, Sea, and Truck from origin to destination around the world.
• Communication will include regular collaboration with overseas offices by email, sometimes by phone with the support of a supervisor or manager.
• Understand the processes involved in international shipping from purchase order to delivery.
• Assist customers and other third parties with inquiries and problem resolution.
• Provide tracking and tracing services for customer shipments.
• Generate, file, and maintain up-to-date customer records, reports, shipment documentation, etc.
• Provide reporting and documentation collection to support global forwarding personnel and ensure customer data integrity.
• Perform load and documentation audits and ensure all information is accurate.
• Timely escalation of shipment issues or potential errors to the Supervisor and Account Manager as needed.
• Shipment rating and rate negotiation to support final shipment Profit & Loss
• Other duties, as required, may be assigned

Qualifications:

• Transportation experience preferred
• Minimum High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Strong Problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and phone etiquette
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
• Exceptional customer service skills and follow up
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and strong internet skills
• CargoWise software experience preferred
