Job Overview

Legacy Supply Chain, supporting Product Distribution Company - a subsidiary of GE Appliances, is hiring an experienced Transportation Supervisor to support our new terminal in Selmer, TN. As a Transportation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a fleet of Class A drivers. This role involves planning routes, assigning drivers, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining vehicle safety. This position includes a comprehensive benefits package including 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match.

Schedule and Compensation

  • Monday through Friday schedule
  • Starting salary between $65,000-$70,000 per year

Job Details

What to expect as a Transportation Operations Supervisor:

  • Coordinates scheduling of vehicles and drivers for meeting overall transportation requirements.
  • Identify and resolve delivery and scheduling problems through timely communication with customers, drivers, and delivery locations.
  • Develops routes for determining driver and equipment requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, and all federal and state regulations, as well as company rules and policies.
  • Compiles a variety of data for developing reports, information and mandated requirements.
  • Create a positive work environment that is consistent with the Company’s values and objectives.
  • Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Three years of experience in transportation, supply chain or logistics environments.
  • One year of experience dispatching local and regional drivers.
  • CDL class A license is preferred.
  • BA or BS preferred or equivalent related work experience.
  • Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage changing priorities and multiple tasks.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Experience and knowledge of DOT compliance.
  • Intermediate level skills in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
